WHY STAY AT A RESORT IN THE MALDIVES
Maldives resorts offer privacy, calm beaches, and a beautiful mix of luxury and barefoot simplicity. Every island has its own atmosphere — from wellness-focused retreats to vibrant dive resorts — and all offer direct access to lagoons, house reefs, and overwater experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
It’s one of the most effortless ways to relax, unwind, and enjoy the ocean in complete comfort.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT RESORT
Choosing the right resort in the Maldives depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for. Every island is different in size, atmosphere, marine life, accessibility, and style — and the options can feel overwhelming. We help you navigate the choices based on your interests, budget, and travel preferences.
Key factors to consider:
Location & Atoll – access to good reefs, manta spots, or quiet lagoons
Transfer Type – speedboat, seaplane, or domestic flight
Island Size – intimate barefoot luxury vs. bigger resort with more facilities
Style of Accommodation – beach villas, overwater villas, private pools
Dining & All-Inclusive Options – variety, quality, and dietary needs
Reef Quality – house reef snorkeling vs. boat excursions
Atmosphere – relaxed, family-friendly, adults-only, or ultra-luxury
Spa, diving, yoga & activities – based on what you want from your holiday
Your Maldives experience changes dramatically depending on the resort you choose — which is why we only recommend places that match your exact expectations and style.

FAQ
-
Meal plans vary a lot between resorts in the Maldives. All Inclusive is often the most cost-effective option, especially if you enjoy cocktails, wine, or snacks during the day. Food and drinks in the Maldives are very expensive due to logistics, so if you choose Breakfast Only, Half Board or Full Board, you should check the menu prices in advance and budget accordingly.
Important:
All Inclusive plans differ heavily between resorts — some include premium drinks and activities, others only basic items. Always compare what’s included. -
Transfers depend on the distance from Malé:
Speedboat resorts → closest + often cheapest
Seaplane resorts → more expensive, but scenic
Domestic flight + speedboat → used for far southern/northern atolls
Transfer costs can make a big difference in your total budget.
-
Seaplanes only operate during daylight hours.
This means:
If you land after 3 pm, you cannot reach a seaplane resort the same day.
If your departure flight is before 9 am, you must stay the night near Malé or choose a resort with speedboat transfers.
